Owned by Master Hair Stylist Laurie Owen, Blue Violet Salon and Spa in Lake Mary, Florida is one of the city’s best beauty salons. Laurie is an expert in hair; whether you need a hair cut, coloring, or a beautiful blow out – Laurie will make YOU look your best. Laurie specializes in keeping your hair in it’s best condition using the highest of quality products. She is also a permanent makeup artist and Microblader!

Laurie has trained with some of the best in the industry which include Juan Juan of Beverly Hills, California and Candy Shaw of Atlanta, Georgia. Laurie also trained with the famous Damien Carney and Sue Pemberton. She has successfully completed Centricity with Redken and received a Certificate of Excellence from Aquage. She also completed the Schwarzcopf Hands-On program.

Laurie’s skills do not stop with hair however. She is also trained in Human Hair Extensions and is an Eyelash Extension Specialist. She graduated in 2008 from the Permanent Makeup of Atlanta after training with a pioneer in Permanent Makeup, Cheryl Rosenblum. She worked as a Permanent Makeup Artist and Master Stylist for the world renowned Dr. Gross of Lake Mary, FL, before opening her own hair salon – Shear Designs in 2011. In 2016, she later renamed Shear Designs to Baiser de Beaute’ to better reflect her as a total beauty artist, with skills that include Permanent Makeup Artistry and Microblading. She has held a tattoo license in Florida since 2008. She trains and teaches the Art of Permanent Makeup and Microblading at Baiser de Beaute’.

Laurie also trained with James Wealthy in 2012, and she is certified to instruct and certify, students in the field of Brow Lash Artistry. In addition, she also trained with J.B. Cosmetics and successfully attained the J.B. Technician and Professional License, which allows her to be a certified J.B. Cosmetics Instructor and Teaching Professional.

Beauty trends change often and because Laurie understands this,  she is constantly attending classes to keep abreast of the latest in hair and makeup.
